About Kara Bohack, NTC
Kara is a wife and mother to 3 children. She began her health and fitness career as a children’s fitness specialist and felt there was more to helping both adults and children be healthy than just fitness. She first experienced Nutrition Response Testing as a patient herself. After having stomach problems, suffering from what was falsely diagnosed as lupus, anxiety, and an overall feeling of constant fatigue, she had had enough. She was introduced to Kimberly Shirk (former owner of Holistic Healing and Nutrition) and began with an NRT program in July of 2012, just 5 months after giving birth. She will tell anyone and everyone she meets how NRT has completely changed her life. ALL the symptoms were gone and she felt amazing after only a few weeks on the program. She was referring people to the practice because she wanted everyone to feel as good as she did! She would ask questions at each visit and expressed a genuine interest in learning as much as she could about Nutrition Response Testing. When it came time to add a practitioner to the office, Kim knew that Kara was the perfect match. Kara recieved invaluable training directly from Kim, attended numerous Nutrition Response Testing trainings, bioenergic medicine trainings and then recieved her Nutritional Therapy Certification in June of 2015. When Kim and her family moved out of the area, Kara knew how important it was to the community that this office remain open and continue to serve the area. She purchased the business and is helping people to achieve true wellness from within.
About Dr. Miranda Kennedy
Dr. Miranda Kennedy is loved by her patients for her “gentle” chiropractic care. She utilizes a holistic approach beginning her sessions with cranial adjustments. With her skill in releasing the dura and muscles, she obtains results with little force. Dr. Kennedy is able to remove interference to the spinal cord and get great results with little “popping, cracking, or twisting”. Her style of adjusting has evolved from her experience of over 13 years, as well as her substantial knowledge of SOT, Activator, and Thompson Drop techniques. Dr. Kennedy instills such faith in her patients that they trust her to adjust their newborn babies and aging parents.
Dr. Kennedy knows the body is a miracle. Removing interference from the nervous system with chiropractic care allows amazing things to happen. Our bodies are only as good as its building blocks. The better material we have to create our body, the better it will function. It is for this reason that Dr. Kennedy’s studies have included nutritional training with whole food and herbal supplementation. She is excited to begin the next phase of her chiropractic evolution at Holistic Healing and Nutrition where her chiropractic care will be complemented by the existing health care services. Dr. Kennedy believes each passing day allows new opportunities to promote healthy living and positive life choices.
Dr. Kennedy was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She graduated from Arlington High School, then went on to attain a Bachelors degree in Biology from SUNY New Paltz. Choosing early springs over snowy ones, Dr. Kennedy attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Here, she graduated in 2001 with her Doctorate in Chiropractic. After graduating, she began her chiropractic career in Lagrangeville, New York and has been in practice for over 13 years.
Dr. Kennedy is married to her incredibly handsome, funny, and caring husband Michael. Together they enjoy their two beautiful children, Gabriel and Michaela. Dr. Kennedy feels very blessed to be given the opportunity to help people every day and is excited to be joining Holistic Healing and Nutrition.
About Danielle Molella
Danielle was born and raised here in the beautiful Hudson Valley. After almost twenty years of living away from her hometown, she came back to her roots, and is doing what she loves most: helping people heal holistically. Danielle has an artistic background and has a degree in Industrial Design. When she was 26 years old, she ventured out to the Pacific Northwest for temporary training for work. Because July is one of the most amazing months of the year in that part of the United States, her three-week gig turned into a little over nine years.
In 2004, while living in Seattle, Danielle decided to get professional training in something that felt very natural to her. She continued to work full-time as a designer while going to school at night and on the weekends to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and Professional Bowenwork Practitioner. The West Coast is a wonderful place to explore and learn about alternative health. Danielle practiced massage therapy for three years before her Bowenwork training in 2008. Danielle decided to study Bowenwork six years ago when she saw first-hand how this gentle, non-invasive work impacted her own body. After her own experience and healing with Bowenwork, Danielle realized how much she could help people by providing this type of gentle healing to the community. She now practices Bowenwork exclusively because of its profound results.
Danielle is grateful to have gained the experience and training she did out in the Northwest and very excited to be able to share her knowledge and healing here in the Hudson Valley. She is passionate about helping others on their journey to optimal physical and emotional well-being. Learn more about Danielle on her website, 1bluedragonfly.com

About Shari Riley, Intuitive Healer
Shari L. Riley is a spiritual counselor and intuitive healer. For Shari, the journey toward really understanding her own Authentic Journey – her soul’s mission – began back in 2000 when, as a trained life coach, she started inspiring women to live their dreams. Shari noticed that eventually, each client would hit a hidden hurdle. They were unable to move forward on their own path, and Shari began to ask herself “why?” At that point, she started her own healing when her first marriage of 19 years began falling apart. A friend introduced her to Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) to begin the process of letting go of her first love. Her initial session allowed her to “see” her father who died when she was 8 years old. She could never picture her dad and blocked many memories of her childhood. She realized that the abandonment she felt as a child continued to create a pattern that was playing out in her adulthood. As she healed her father story, she was able to release a marriage that was no longer encouraging her growth as a woman and ultimately a healer. Read more here

About Stacey Schaffer, Reiki Master, LPN
Stacey Schaffer is a Reiki Master, practicing since 2002. Reiki has changed Stacey’s life and the way she views the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Reiki helps the body heal on an emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental level. While it is a very gentle healing modality that can be hands-on or hands-off depending on the client’s preference, it is incredibly powerful. Reiki helps remove stress and promotes relaxation, which in turn allows the body to function more efficiently. Stacey enjoys bridging the gap between western medicine and the “alternatives,” while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. She was recently certified in AromaTouch, and has added that to her Reiki practice, mixing AromaTouch and Reiki into one amazingly relaxing and restorative session. Stacey graduated from the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC, in 1999, and subsequently had her own catering/home delivery business in Manhattan, focused on organic healthy foods, prepared to help heal the body. In 2002, she graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC, where she was also the school’s Head Chef. She is also a Licensed Practical Nurse in NYS. Stacey loves living in the Hudson Valley with her husband and two delicious kids. She can be reached via her website: www.newpaltzreiki.com to schedule an appointment or answer questions.
