Congratulations, you’ve taken the first step to regaining control of your health and healing your body they way it was intended to be healed! After you’ve had your initial consultation and report of findings, what happens next?
Step 1 : Fine Tuning Your Program!
Once you’ve started your initial designed clinical nutritional program it generally take three to six more visits to completely fine tune your program. These visits are typically completed once a week until no new reflexes are found. During this time we will be reviewing you weekly diet log and offering guidance on food choices, alternative options to processed/packaged foods, and reviewing your long term health goals in order to maximize your gains from this program.
If you were taking any over the counter vitamins, minerals, or other nutritional supplements prior to starting NRT we will also evaluate these additional supplements in relation to your new program. We can determine which of these additional supplements are helping or hindering you in your healing process.
Step 2 : Natural Healing and Observation Period
Once your nutritional program is stabilized, you will be ready to start the next step, the Healing and Observation Period. This part of the healing cycle generally lasts 12 weeks and does not typically require continuing weekly visits. Most people find that during this phase optimum progress is obtained through regularly scheduled bi-monthly visits.
During the Healing and Observation Period, we will be doing two things:
- Monitoring all reflexes to ensure that your body is responding appropriately to your program. This will allow us to adjust your program as needed to ensure maximum gain toward optimal health. This can include changes in doses as well as adding or removing a particular supplement when and if the need arises.Occasionally during this period additional layers may show up and further recommendations may be made. These recommendations may include additional procedures done in our office, such as the cold laser technique, and/or appropriate referrals to other allied health professionals.
- At the end of your 12 week healing and observation period we will re-evaluate your progress and determine your rate of recovery and what additional recommendations might be needed in order for you to obtains and/or maintain your optimal level of wellness. This may include a new Heart Rate Variability Analysis (HRV) and/or other tests and measurements needed to complete the evaluation.
If you experienced an improvement of 25% in your first 12 weeks then we would anticipate that you might need an additional 36 weeks to obtain optimal wellness. In this case we would recommend another 12 week healing and observation period followed by a reevaluation at the end to determine your additional progress.
If you experienced an improvement of 50% in your first 12 weeks then we would anticipate that you may need only one more 12 week session of healing and observation to attain your optimal level of wellness.
If you experienced an improvement of 75% in your first 12 weeks then it might be possible for you to obtain optimal wellness in just 4 additional weeks on the program before you’re ready for maintenance.
Step 3 : Maintenance Phase
Once you have achieved optimal wellness, naturally you will want to stay well. That is most easily accomplished through regular NRT evaluations periodically for the next year and beyond. The frequency of visits is determined on an individual basis ranging anywhere from monthly, to annually.
Most maintenance programs require lesser amounts of nutritional supplements than were needed in the earlier phases of your program. Establishing a maintenance program will assist us in continuing to provide your body with the additional supplements it needs to maintain your level of optimal wellness.
Our experience is that a health maintenance program, designed specifically to meet your body’s needs is the most effective way to protect and expand your health as time goes on. Following your maintenance program is assurance that you will continue to experience your body’s optimal level of wellness. Good health is the best health insurance there it!
